Australia Fundraiser

As some of you will know, Australia has suffered it's worst flooding in history. The floods cover country the size of Germany and France combined. 16 people have died, and 28 are missing with grave fears held for them. News stories can be found here, the most heartbreaking of which is one where a little girl was swept out of her mother's arms. Not only is there the loss of human life, but thousands of animals have died or lost their habitats.

Several LJ communities have sprung up to raise money for the victims of these floods. These include the following, along with some of the members threads! If you have one you'd like to add, please comment.

Here's how the Fringe Mini Bang works: Writers write a story of at least 10,000 words, and a fannish artist reads the story and creates something based on it. Towards the end of the challenge, there will be a post where writers can claim a day to post their story.
